The same was true of our ancient ancestors.

Massage Therapy

Therapeutic Cupping

This proven and respected age-old treatment that is safe, soothing and has a remarkable effective for many health conditions.Cupping Is The Oldest And Most Worldwide Performed Healing Remedy In History.

History of cupping
Ancient Egyptian produced one of the oldest medicinal textbooks in the world – Ebers Papytus 1,550 B.C. describing the precise use of cup’s for the treatment of disorders and Pain. Cupping therapy is an amazing ancient and universal method that spans worldwide. In the primitive shamanistic practices of all the world’s indigenous peoples, there were certain shamans who specialized in the sucking out of illness and infirmity from the body. Hippocrates, father of modern medicine, used cupping for internal disease and structural problems in 400 B.C.

In the East, the Chinese have been practicing the art of cupping for at least three thousand years. Cupping forms part of the traditional bodywork or physiotherapy system of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Cupping is applied to the acupuncture points to relieve the stagnation of Qi and blood, both locally and in the organ(s) activated by the point. The significance and effectiveness of this therapy has been documented for several thousand years.

What Is cupping therapy?
Cupping Therapy gets rid of acidic toxic waste which accumulated in our bodies as we aged creating stagnation and blockage.

Sources of toxic waste includes: the polluted air we breathe, toxic chemicals found in our food, water, drinks, household chemicals & toiletries; environmental waste in your neighborhood; intoxicating drinks, narcotic drugs, junk food and smoking; waste products of normal body metabolism; products of medicinal drugs
metabolism; impact of trauma and accidents on our body; and toxins from mental stress, anger, guilt, fear, anxiety and depression.

Stagnated or congested blood will slow down or block fresh supply blood. This congestion will hinder the normal flow of the necessary oxygen, nutrients, water, mineral electrolyte, vitamins, enzymes, hormones and immune system cells & antibodies to your cells, tissues and organs. The blockage will also prevent the removal of carbon dioxide, metabolic waste products and toxic substance which are excreted via our urine, lungs and skin. As a result the cells, tissues, and organs cannot function at its normal healthy level and become gradually weak, inefficient, and easily overcome by germs. This would cause tissue or organ to malfunction and become infected. Therefore ,the body will experience symptoms of diseases such as aches and pain, numbness, fever, cough, stomach ache, constipation, diarrhea and headaches. If left untreated further accumulation of toxic waste may lead to serious chronic diseases including hypertension, ulcers, diabetes, arthritis, Alzheimer, migraine, heart disease, stroke and cancer.

How does cupping therapy work?
A partial vacuum is created in cups placed on the skin either by means of heat or suction. This draws up the underlying tissues. When the cup is left in place on the skin for a few minutes, blood stasis is formed and localized healing takes place. The release of toxin, waste, stagnant blood and lymph, as a result improving
energy flow.

Cupping therapy is also a process to open the ‘Meridians’ of the body. Meridians are the conduits in the body through which energy flows to every part of the body and through every organ and tissue. There are five meridians on the back that, when opened, allow invigorating energy to travel the whole length of the body. Cupping has a profound effect on the body. It has been found that cupping is probably the best way of opening those meridians.

Cupping has also been found to affect the body up to four inches into the tissues, causing tissues to release toxins, activate the lymphatic system, clear colon blockages, help activate and clear the veins, arteries and capillaries, activate the skin, clear stretch marks and improve varicose veins.

Cupping is also used to treat muscle pain, spasms, drain excess fluids and toxins, loosen adhesions, connective tissue and stubborn knots in soft tissue, stimulate blood circulation and brings blood flow to nourish stagnant muscles and skin, improve the flow of energy and is a sedative to the nervous systems.

What Is the frequency of cupping?
Critical diseases: e.g. stroke victims – 3 consecutive days and then weekly, preferably to be done within 72 hours of onset of stroke. Serious diseases: e.g. high blood pressure, diabetes, heart problem, asthma, high cholesterol, kidney malfunction, liver malfunction – weekly for few months. Mild diseases: e.g. fever, cough, muscular pain – every 3 to 7 days until relief is attained.

Moxibutstion Therapy

Moxibustion is the burning of dried Chinese herbs, called “moxa”, primarily made with mugwort, on acupuncture points.

History of moxibustion

Moxibustion, or moxa, is named after the Japanese word mokusa, meaning “burning herb.” It was first recorded in medical texts during the Song Dynasty (a.d. 960), but it has most likely been in use much longer. It is an important therapy in traditional Chinese medicine; the ancient texts advise that moxa
should be tried if acupuncture and herbs have failed to heal the disease.

How does it work?

In Traditional Chinese Medicine, Mugwort is considered to be warm, acrid, and bitter when used in herbal prescriptions. When burnt, it has similar properties and, thus, its warming nature is useful for helping to expel cold and damp from the body as well as warming the body’s channels. The bitter and acrid aspects of Mugwort help to break stagnation, clear phlegm, and rectify the qi and blood. Moxibustion can be considered to be a parallel therapy to acupuncture,
being used to stimulate qi flow at points on the body that are selected for their specific function. The burning of moxi is believed to expel cold and warm the meridians, which leads to smoother flow of blood and Qi (energy).

TYPES OF MOXIBUSTION

Direct

In direct moxibustion, a small, cone-shaped of moxa is placed on top of an acupuncture point and burned. . In other techniques, the moxa is burned on top of a slice of ginger, garlic, or aconite; this prevents a burn and also adds the therapeutic effects of those herbs to the treatment.

Indirect

Indirect moxa can be used on acupuncture points to achieve a systemic, or body wide, effect or it can be used directly at the site of a problem
The indirect method can be done in two ways:
1. It can be done with a small pinch of moxa over the head of an inserted needle.
2. The “moxa wool” is rolled into a long cigar shape and wrapped in paper. The cigar-shaped moxa stick is then lighted and held about an inch away from the desired area — an acupuncture point or other area of the body chosen by the practitioner.

Ear Candling

Ear Candling is used to remove excess wax, draw out toxins and pollutants, cleanse the sinus cavities, improve hearing and other senses and revitalize the nerve endings. It is a soothing experience that reduces stress and tension also sharpens mental functions.

Ear candling or coning is an ancient holistic practice used global. It was used in Ancient Egypt, India, China, Tibet, Mayan, Aztec and American Indian Cultures. Some form of wax or burnable substance was used as the carrier in the cones.

Many traditions believe coning is also a spiritual practice for clearing the mind and senses. Since ear coning elevates the electromagnetic frequency of the body is also believed to have and spiritual impact on the person as it draws out toxins and waste and revives the energy flows throughout the body and enhances sensitivity.

In ancient Greece the upper-class used candling to evoke mental clarity. For hundreds of years, doctors in Thailand, China, India, and the Philippines have routinely included the process as part of their regular practice of medicine. German medical students are taught coning as a part of their medical practice.

How does it work?
The basic premise in ear candling is the spiral of the cone causes the smoke to be pulled down in to the ear canal. This causes the ear canal to warm up and loosen the wax and any other material. As it heats it up, the candle produces a suction by creating a vacuum in the ear canal. Air is drawn up from the Eustachian tube into the middle ear then through the porous membrane out into the outer ear. The heat and the vacuum draw out the wax and other materials from the ear canal into the base of the candle. As it burns down you will hear a lot of cracking and hissing which is the process of removing the wax etc. The warmth feels soothing and relaxing during the process.
